We are excited to announce a groundbreaking evolution for the NewNet IRC network—NewNet IRC 3D! This revolutionary update transcends traditional text chatting, offering a fully immersive VR environment. Step into 3D-rendered channels like #lounge, #meta, or #newnet as if strolling through a virtual world. With realistic avatars, voice-activated messaging, and live holographic moderators, it’s IRC like you’ve never seen before!

To celebrate, we are also introducing the first-ever Virtual IRC Olympics, complete with Avatar Fashion Shows, Emoji Archery, and Text-Relay Races. As a bonus, for the truly adventurous, the entire VR experience can initially be accessed only via quantum computing–enabled smart toasters (don’t worry, the classic text interface remains available for all other devices).
